How to Submit a Request for Arbitration at MECIA
Welcome to the Middle East Court of International Arbitration (MECIA), a global hub for dispute resolution. If you wish to initiate an arbitration process, follow the steps outlined below:
- Preparation: Begin by familiarizing yourself with MECIA’s Arbitration Rules, which provide a comprehensive guide to our dispute resolution process. These rules reflect our commitment to fairness, neutrality, and global outreach.
- Documentation: Prepare all necessary documentation pertaining to the dispute. This should include contracts, correspondences, and any other relevant evidence that substantiates your claim.
- Drafting the Request: Your Request for Arbitration should detail:
- The names and contact details of the parties involved.
- A brief description of the nature and circumstances of the dispute.
- The relief or remedy sought.
- Any preferred language or seat of arbitration (remember, while Dubai is our default seat, flexibility is at the core of our ethos).
- Submission: Once your Request for Arbitration is complete, you can submit it through our online portal available on the MECIA website, in addition, it should be reminded that other methods such as submiting the request via E-Mail, Fax, Mail and etc is possible and done by many clients. Ensure all documents are attached, and any submission fees, as mentioned in the MECIA Arbitration Rules, are paid.
- Confirmation: After submission, you will receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your request.
- Next Steps: After your submission has been assessed, a MECIA representative will contact you with information about the appointed arbitrator(s) and the next steps in the arbitration process.
